Jobs

We currently have two job postings for postdoctoral researchers. We can potentially hire several people under each posting. The first one is a general posting and the second one is more specific on one aspect of our work. Feel free to contact Ken Caldeira about possible employment up to two years in advance  of your expected start date.

Exploring Key Factors for a Near-Zero Energy System Transition

Come join a group of collaborating researchers who seek to explore key factors that could help facilitate a transition to a near-zero emission energy system.

Our work typically falls into these areas:

1. Schematic energy-system modeling
2. Schematic economic modeling
3. Geophysical modeling
4. Energy and climate-related analysis

Optimization of Idealized Near-Zero-Emission Energy Systems

This position involves studying the architectures of possible near-zero-emission energy systems and what innovations would help facilitate a transition to those energy systems.  This work involves studying idealized, but relatively complete, representations of future energy systems.
